For the first time, Hollywood is adapting Gustave Flaubert's masterpiece Madame Bovary, and producers have cast Alice In Wonderland's Mia Wasikowska to play the titular character.

The classic French novel has seen screen incarnations in the UK over the years, but this is the first time it's getting the American treatment. It follows Emma Bovary, the wife of a doctor, who has adulterous affairs and lives beyond her means to escape her boring life.

The young actress has already played Jane Eyre, so we doubt she'll have a problem with this period piece either.

Charlie Sheen Today Show Appearance (Video)

Actor Charlie Sheen sat down and had a chat with Matt Lauer this morning on the Today show. It was a much different interview than the infamous ones he was giving a year ago when he was “winning”. In what I thought was a rather interesting interview Sheen said his comeback, which I will get to in a moment, is his way of apologizing to America. What he is of course talking about is not only is mega meltdown from last year but his new show Anger Management which is going to debut this summer on FX. Charlie goes on to talk about the show, the bitterness he still has towards Two and a Half Men as well as his substance abuse issues. Personally I thought the interview was handled very well. I think that Matt has some good questions, including one about the recent TMZ photos of Sheen at a Guns & Roses concert. Keith Scott, played by actor Craig Sheffer, wasn't necessarily brought back to life in Wednesday's episode, but he DID help walk his brother Dan into heaven!

The return of Keith was closely kept under wraps up until last night when it aired!!! An unspoiled appearance? Nice one, One Tree Hill! That is pretty impressive these days!

Paul Johansson, who played OTH's Dan, shared his views on Keith's season 3 write-off, saying:

I think murder is one of the worst things you can possibly do, especially to a wonderful soul like Keith, but it did two things: One, I think it saved the TV series, [Writer] Mark doing that. In a way, we were on our way out. Had Mark not made that episode and pushed it though, the show would not have gone nine years. And two, It created within the audience [the question], ‘What is Dan going to do now?’ Without that, a show can be bland and Mark wouldn’t allow that.

The long-running show's series finale will air on April 4.

Even though she has passed away, your grandmother’s old Sunday dress is alive and well in this photo of Kate Middleton. She has made a name for herself as an international style and beauty icon, and of course for marrying the next king of England. Even though she is way too skinny, she has pulled off some nice outfits. But this green number has got to go. The hat looks like something she may have found in a retired sailor’s closet, and the thick, dark green dress must smell like mothballs. The belt actually makes her skinny figure look somewhat unhealthy. If I was a Brit, I’d be worried about the health of our future queen, I mean she needs food in that belly. Rather than a nice flower or something to match the outfit, the corsage looks like she was tackled on the way to her car, then rolled over in a patch of thistle, which then stuck to her dress. Today is a non run day for me so I was planning on taking it easy, particularly because SoCal is bracing itself for a big rainstorm this weekend. BUT, in an effort to get my legs used to long distance running, I’m going to try and turn my non run days into long walk days. I’m not sure if this will become a thing for me but I’m going to give it a shot today and see how it goes. We are due to get a lot of rain very anytime now so I want to get out be active as much as I can, while I can.

The LA Marathon is this Sunday and I am really bummed out that the forecast is for all day rain all weekend long. As a very new runner, I have LOTS of newfound respect for runners overall so I’m just hoping the rain will let up for a bit on Sunday morning so that the marathoners won’t get drenched as they run the 26.2 miles all around LA. I have this grand dream that I will be ready to run the LA Marathon next year so … we’ll see.

Except for my walking plans, I’m not sure what is going on tonight. All this training has been keeping me exhausted and starving so I’m not really a lot of fun to hang out with these days. I’m really looking forward to the day when my stamina gets strong enough that I’m not always feeling so drained :) Happy Friday, Happy Weekend and HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY tomorrow, y’all!!!

Madonna has released a new preview clip of one of the songs on her upcoming new album M.D.N.A. which is due to hit stores on March 26. Today we get to hear a little over a minute of her song I Don’t Give A. While many of Madonna‘s other songs on M.D.N.A. might have differing meanings, the lyrics of I Don’t Give A make it plainly obvious that the song was inspired by and is meant for Maddy‘s ex husband Guy Ritchie. Take a listen below and get your first taste of I Don’t Give A.

At first, the song’s syncopation reminded me a bit of Madonna‘s song American Life (I’m drinkin’ a soy latte / I get a double shotte) but then the song gives way to a more melodic vibe. The lyrics, I tried to be a your wife / Diminished myself / And I swallowed my light, make it very clear that Madonna is singing to her ex husband (who she seems to resent … a lot). I don’t know that this song will make a good single, per se, but I’m sure the catharsis was positive for our dear Madge. I understand we will get more preview snippets thruout the weekend so … stay tuned. As for I Don’t Give A … what do y’all think? Do you like it? Do you give a F?

We are one day closer to the release of Madonna‘s new album M.D.N.A. and to celebrate, our dear Madge has released another minute-long clip of one of her new songs. Thus far, the song clips we’ve been hearing over the past week or so have been more mid/uptempo songs with a dancey beat. Today’s offering, a sampling of the song Falling Free, is slower … more ballad-y. We already know that Masterpiece is one of the ballads on M.D.N.A. and by the sound of it, Falling Free is another. Check out the preview below for your FIRST TASTE of Falling Free.

The blips and bloops in this song sound very William Orbit. In fact, Falling Free sounds like a song from Maddy‘s brilliant Ray of Light album. I’m not a big fan of pop ballad songs (by anyone, not even Britney Spears) but I like what I hear here. Ray of Light is one of my favorite albums and any song that sounds Ray of Light-ish is aces in my book. What do y’all think of Falling Free?

Now, Bear's publicist has released a statement about the firing, which reads as follows:

"Bear's goal has always been to make life-empowering shows for his many fans around the globe, and he has taken great risks to bring Discovery such award winning programming over seven seasons. Unfortunately, Bear and Discovery have not been able to come to mutual agreement on new programming, and he disagrees with Discovery's decision to terminate current productions. Bear has loved the Man vs. Wild journey and looks forward to producing further cutting edge content again soon for his loyal audience."

We're sorry that Bear and Discovery couldn't work things out, but we'll definitely be curious to hear about his next big project! We're thinking it will have something to do with survival and manliness. Ha!
