Guess Floridians weren't too shocked by Romney's tax returns!

Last week, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney laid the smackdown on Newt Gingrich during a Florida debate (above)!

It appears that Florida voters were listening, because we're now hearing that Romney is in the lead in The Sunshine State.

IN FACT, according to a Quinnipiac University poll, 43% of residents are likely to vote for him in Tuesday's FL primary, while only 29% are in support of Gingrich.

Here's Romney on how he changed his strategy to win over Florida:

"We ... didn't respond well in South Carolina. So we decided to respond. We made it clear if people want change in Washington you have to bring in someone from outside Washington. Both the change in tactic as well as the message have had a real impact in Florida."

What do U think? Is Romney going to take Florida???
